My Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing is my go-to dressing on practically every salad combination. I will throw this stuff on top of a steak salad, salad with fruits/ vegetables, cobb-salad, anything! I also use this to drizzle over my vegetables and roast them.What also makes this stuff great, is that it is super easy to make, and will turn a boring salad into something delightful! It also saves my taste buds on the mornings where I didn’t pack a lunch the night before, and therefore frantically throwing together some crazy combo. Which usually consists of salad greens + any fruit/veggies I may have + any protein on hand!
What I am saying is, if you like it as well, make a bunch to have on hand… 😉
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp of water
- 1 tsp of minced garlic
- 2 tsp of mustard powder
- 3/4 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp of minced fresh cilantro or 1/4 tsp dried
- salt and black pepper
Mix together the vinegar, garlic, water, and mustard powder in a small bowl. Slowly add the olive oil in a steady stream while whisking to emulsify. Then add the cilantro and season with salt and pepper according to taste. Give it one final good whisk to make sure it’s all mixed together! Store it in container that will keep it fresh and store in the fridge. Separation is normal, just mix together when ready to use!
